A lot has happened in the last few months. My parents got a new puppy, who is freaking adorable and who I got attached to in only a week. I try to call her "my parents' puppy" or "my sister's puppy" because I won't be at home to interact with her most of the time. Her name is Nellie and she's a mutt; chocolate brown with white and the prettiest hazel eyes. I will have to take some pictures when I get home.
I say "when I get home" because I am on week 2 of a 6-week study abroad program in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It's an advanced Spanish program, which means people who have completed 4 or more semesters of Spanish at Southwestern. I'm continually terrified by what I've gotten myself into, because I don't think my Spanish is that good, although everyone tells me it is. Fortunately two of my close friends are also here, so we've been having fun and been less scared cuz we're together.
I also have some photos stockpiled that I need to add, from various points in the semester and from here. I'm hoping to go to the racetrack (Hipodromo Argentina) while I'm here, and some other places that will give me some amazing shots.

When you call upon a Thoroughbred, he gives you all the speed, strength of heart and sinew in him. When you call on a jackass, he kicks.

a little treaty of: we be nice to them if they be nice to us!

You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

There are times when you can trust your horse, times when you can't, and times when you have to.
I go to all of the A shows with my friend Kelsey Scudder on her Mare Konkorida, maybe ill see you around!
